Remix Culture Assignment
To me Remix culture is when existing media is taken and then transformed into something new. The media is used in ways you might not have thought of before; I like to see it as a kind of collaboration.
I was just inspired by the saying The Bees Knees as I thought taking a literal approach would be interesting visually.

While scrolling through Thinginverse I came across this model of hands which I thought would look interesting if I placed them together turning into these weird flowers. While creating the flowers I thought the palms looked a bit empty, so I decided to embed eyes to add some extra interest.

As you may be able to tell I'm a big fan of using human body parts and combining them with everyday objects to create something that is slightly off-putting. So with that in mind I decided i wanted to make a crawling chair. I couldn't find a buff arm to match the legs which I was a little disappointed about, but we push on.
Still running with the making slightly off-putting objects theme, I decided to create a tooth trashcan. Just because I thought that unexpectedly seeing rows of teeth after opening a trashcan would be creepy.
I ate soup for dinner while thinking about this assignment which led me to think about putting eyeballs in soup. I thought that adding the hand cradling the bowl at an angle would add more visual appeal.
I kind of wanted to create the Cinderella carriage but if it was monster. I chose to use these thick spider legs to add to the creepiness.
My roommate has some small Succulents, and I thought the curve of them were similar to these tongue models I found so then I group them together in pots to create tongue plants.
I kinda just wanted to create a winged key. I chose this dragon model because wings matched this fantasy looked I pictured. I chose this particular key model because it matched that particular look I was going for while still staying on the simpler side.
